Match game. Hotpotatoe activity for kindergaren

Hi there,
Great! I think now we are kind of experts in the occupations & workplaces subject, so, I´m positive no child will fail this JMatch.
Try it at school, they just have to match the job with the corresponding workplaces. But be careful, first you need save the  Hot Potatos link in your computer and play it from there.

I hope you enjoyed it.

Learning workplaces. Classtools activity

Hi butterflies,
Learning is fUn-tastic 馃槈, but when we make it part of the game is even more productive. In this post I´m suggesting one more activity related to jobs and workplaces. Previously, we learnt some jobs and their corresponding workplaces, today we can make a contest in the class, I think this is quite motivating and help to fix the knowledge.
How it works: For example, for the first round, the teacher clicks and asks the helper of the day, then the helper will be in charge of clicking the roulette and the teacher will choose the pupils to check if they remember the occupation related to the workplace appearing in their turn.

Do you dare to play?

Learning jobs with Kizoa

Hi and welcome!

Today I´m talking about learning occupations and their corresponding workplaces. Do your children know what do you do for a living? This is a nice and interesting activity for the class. It could be very loving asking your kids what are their parents/tutors jobs and where do they go to carry out the occupation. We could first, ask the parents to talk to their children about this, so the day we are making the activity they will be familiar with the concepts. Once circle time is done and everybody shared their information, we will play this Kizoa video presenting some occupations they will have to learn.

Jobs in Kizoa

It is not a long video, so it is easy for the children to keep the attenion while watching it.

Fair winds to everybody and good day!

Wakey-wakey, rise and shine!

                                Wakey-wakey, rise and shine!

How do you feel in the mornings?? Do you think is it hard for the kids to wake up and get ready for school?? We always are in a rush and children feel it, it is not their fault we have to stick to a schedule, so we should take a bit of time and help them to have nice mornings (this is good for all the family too) turning from:

    to

The way the kids face the day it is determined on how they wake up, have their breakfast, feel clean or even get dressed. If we are repeating, hurry!, pay attention on what you are doing! it is not time to play! etc... they might get at school in a state of nerves that may not be good for the learning. Or simply they just have been dressed and given a small snack for breakfast, not reaching the minimum morning intake to be ready to do everything prepared in class for that day. A nice idea could be not  having breakfast alone or standing up, change the habit and spend breakfast time with your partner, children, etc...

Since we want our pupils to be in the best state of mind possible, we can share with the parents below recommendations, it may help. It is a way for the parents to see how we work at school through songs, pictures and painting. And it works!

Presentation and tips gathered in a webmix

Hi there,
Thank you for visiting my brand new blog. My name is Alicia, and a mother of two lovely daughters. Of course I think they are lovely, the best in fact, sometimes though, they drive me crazy and make think I can not cope with it anymore... is this familiar to anyone? Most likely, right? Besides, I´m a teacher to be too, so if I´m not at work (sadly not in a school yet), I´m trying to spend as much time as possible with my kids or studying hard to give my life a 180潞 turn one of these days. What does this mean? Where do I want to get? I mean I don´t have many spare time, so anything that can help me to administrate it as efficiently as possible, is more than welcome and I want to share this finding with you all in this first post.
One of the subjects this term is ICT and we were explained how to work with bookmarks, it turns out you can have them all easily organized in a webmix. So, the ones I have in my computer had been transfered to the webmix (Symbaloo in this case) and, in addition, I´ve looked up for some extra information related to the teaching world (by asking some professionals in the subject), that I think is easy to follow for those parents that are curious about what contents and objectives can be worked at school. Here below is the result:

Symbaloo webmix for kids, parents and teachers.

If you are a teacher, you can see it as tools for a daily bassis work for kindergarten. Find new ideas for your class,  the little ones will love it,  you can cook,  sing,  play and be informed with the latest news in education.

I really hope you find it useful.

No teachers were harmed in the making of this post ;-)

Fair winds to everybody and good day!!
